After you are done, if you have additional questions or feel like I might be the right photographer for you, please contact me so we can start talking about how I can meet your needs.

I require a 50% non-refundable payment to save a date and time and that can be paid when you book me. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours after the date of the shoot.

The most common photo session I offer is generally going to last 1 hour and costs $275. This gets you digital copies of the photographs for you to print on your own, and a print release from me. Any session that has specific needs, very large groups, or will require more time will need to be discussed with me so we can agree on a cost.

You can order standard prints, fine art prints, canvas prints, wooden prints, bamboo panels, puzzles, blankets, and pillows. You can also order full-resolution downloads of any image to print or order additional products of. For more information about the products, click here. If you are interested in purchasing a commercial license for use of one of my images, please email me.

I love editing photos specifically to black and white, and so I will always carefully choose a small number of the images from your session to do this with. However, most of the images I deliver will be in vibrant color. Feel free to order any color print in black and white if you would like to, though.

Of course! Most people love to share their images online and on social media, but you should definitely get some physical prints too! I only ask that you credit, tag, or link me or my website, and that you don’t apply filters over the images I have crafted especially for you.

All prints ordered through my lab must be paid for via credit/debit card through my secure website. Sessions may be booked the same way, or I can accept checks before the session date and cash on the session date.

This depends on the length of the session you choose and how many people (or pets) are in your group. The easy answer, though, is that I do not have a target number of images so I will never stop because I have reached a quota. I will not deliver multiple nearly identical photos, but I will deliver all other images that are in focus with good exposure and good expressions.

I am perfectly capable and willing to shoot in rain, wind, or snow, but my preference is to shoot on pleasant days because it is more conducive to my personal style. We will do our best to schedule our session on a good day with favorable conditions, and we can reschedule if necessary. However, if you want to do something different and desire to be photographed during inclement or cold weather, let me know. I might be game, too!

The best way to book me is to fill out the form on my booking page with as much information as possible. I will then send you a contract to sign as well as an invoice. If you are ready to reserve a date with me, please click here.

As a photographer it’s important for me to be able to show current examples of my work to illustrate what I can do and attract new clients. Therefore, you can expect to see highlights from my shoots to show on my website, portfolio, blog, and social media.

As the creator of the content I am the copyright owner of the images. However, you have the freedom to share, print, scrapbook, or use your images any other way you can think of for personal use. You can print them at your lab of choice if you decide not to use my professional print lab. I will provide a print release if you need it! What you can’t do is sell them or provide them to anyone else for commercial use.

Shooting in low light environments opens up different options for introducing my own light and for compositions. However, it requires additional time to set up compared to gorgeous natural light. If this is something you are interested in, don’t hesitate to ask about it.

All of my fine art and HDR photographs are personally edited for color, contrast, exposure, and style so that my prints will look their best. Photos from sessions receive minimal enhancements so that I can keep a consistent workflow and deliver images in a timely manner. Further retouching can be requested up front for additional cost.

I use my eyes, ears, and heart to compose images. I shoot with a Nikon digital camera and a variety of Nikon and Sigma lenses.

Most images will print beautifully up to 20 by 30 inches. Customers wanting larger sizes may need to message me about a specific image.

Absolutely! Of course you can print them yourself, or for the best quality you can order through my lab at additional cost.

Prints will be shipped directly to you. Images from sessions will be delivered to you in an online gallery through my website. From there, you can order prints from my lab, or download the high resolution files to print on your own or low resolution files to share.

This can depend on the time of year, but most people will wait 3-5 weeks to get the photos from their session, and I guarantee a maximum wait of 45 days. If you order prints through me, or if you are selecting fine art prints of any of my work, you will typically receive your order within 2 weeks. This gives me time to approve orders/crops and apply further enhancements before it goes to my lab.

I will use any method available such as Facebook, Instagram, phone or video chat, but if I had to choose a method that I prefer it would be email or text message.

I sometimes feel like I don’t look good in photos either, and I always hear from potential clients that they feel awkward in front of a camera. I try to make everyone feel comfortable by avoiding stress and being funny when possible. Of course I provide direction wherever needed for natural posing that isn’t stiff or awkward. I always include some portion of each session where we do something silly so I can capture real moments and real laughter.

I enjoy spending any kind of time with my daughter. I love playing and drawing with my daughter, going hiking and mountain biking, baking and cooking, trying new restaurants, and working on DIY projects. I absolutely adore traveling (to new places and old) and watching movies in my home theater.

I have absolutely always wanted to see the Painted Desert and Lake Havasu, Lake Tahoe, Watkins Glen State Park, Arches and Zion National Parks, Moab, Turks and Caicos, Italy, Australia/New Zealand, Germany, Austria, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Alaska, Hawaii, and Alberta Canada.

I love to travel to anywhere with beautiful natural areas, such as Asheville, Vermont, New Hampshire, Colorado, and my home area of Chattanooga. Other places I like to visit are New Orleans, Washington DC, Seattle, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, and since I lived there for 4 years I always enjoy going back to NYC.

I love to photograph anything having to do with nature or the outdoors (waterfalls, streams, landscapes), travel (architecture, culture, cityscapes), and still life (food and beverage, desserts, fine art).

Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.
