A passion for The Craft
an intrinsic love for the process
My interest in photography began because of my grandfather. He was a simple farmer in rural Georgia. Aside from tending his animals and land, hunting, and growing crops, he only had two hobbies. He enjoyed, and was very good at, woodworking and carpentry, and he loved to take pictures with an old Minolta fully manual camera, a camera that I inherited from him when he passed on. While I have kept this same camera up to this day, I usually shoot digitally unless it is purely for fun. Although my passion for photography developed much later in my life, he planted the seed. My grandfather was the first person to show me how to use a camera and what the effects of aperture and shutter speed were, essential skills that I use when creating every single shot, especially in my landscape and waterfall photographs.

Fine Art Photography
Creating images with my heart
After college, I had the opportunity to attend photography school in central Massachusetts near the borders of Vermont and New Hampshire. This was amazing for me because, as you will see from my images, I adore photographing nature, landscapes, and waterfalls. I also enjoy taking travel and cityscape photos, which I was able to do studying photography only two hours from Boston. The only downside to the school I chose was that the program was ten months long, so I only got to appreciate the area for a year. I completed the comprehensive program with a concentration in commercial photography and moved to NYC to learn more from established professionals who shot editorial, still life, fashion, and food photography. Today, I use the skills I learned in school and on set in all of the photography I do.
